New Delhi: Copper futures marginally rose by Rs 1.60 to Rs 1,318.10 per kg due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for February delivery grew marginally by Rs 1.60, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 1,318.10 per kilogram in a business turnover of 13,732 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.

Zinc futures climb in high demand

Zinc prices rose by Rs 2.60 to Rs 318.85 per kg in futures trade as traders created fresh positions amid cautious trade. Zinc contracts for February delivery edged up 0.82 per cent in a turnover of 3,900 lots. Traders attributed the slight rise in zinc futures to limited buying at lower levels.

Aluminium futures up on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose by 0.08 per cent to Rs 318.30 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in February increased by 25 paise in 3,966 lots.
